The Origin
The name Pipco, originates from Paul Israel Paul (PIP).
Prior to immigrating, the Paul family were the Bogosians. "Paul" being the english translation of "Bogos".
When Paul's parents, Israel and Bersop Bogosian immigrated to the United States in 1904, they made the decision to change their last name to escape discrimination from Armenians during that time.
Second Generation
Paul Paul's Sons
Paul Paul had three sons: Ronald, Robert, and Don. Ronald and Robert continued handling operations of the Pipco ranch, while Don attended UCLA, and went on to play as a linebacker for the LA Rams from 1948-1955.
In the early 50s, Robert Paul oversaw the Madera operations for Pipco. Ron took on the role of innovator and vision curator for Pipco's growth after serving in the Coast Guard.
Third Generation
Ron's Boys
The third generation of boys: Ronnie Paul Jr., Brian Paul, and Stephen Paul grew up active in the farm- learning all facets of the business.
Ronnie Jr. was most involved with administration, Brian in the farming operations, and Steve in both operation, framing, and an early pioneer in technology starting in 1994.
By the mid 80s, Pipco was growing over 1600 acres of diversified crops featuring table grapes, wine grapes, raisin grapes, tree fruit, and almonds.
Steve, with wife Gina, saw a rising need to reach consumers more directly.
Fourth Generation
Building a Legacy
The legacy created with Bouquet of Fruits lives on today as Pipco becomes the first true grower to consumer organic ranch. As a consumer, you'll be helping to eliminate the overwhelming carbon footprint present in today's modern food & grocery industry.
